Jason Chernock
Project Manager
Jason Chernock is a Project Manager with Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2). His work includes identifying and applying innovative approaches to economic development, fostering public engagement and involvement, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, and conducting customized research for foundations and nonprofit organizations.
Jason has served as project lead on a variety of strategic planning, customized research and community facilitation initiatives on behalf of EI2. Jason is spearheading the Regional Data Mapping Pilot Project, an effort to assess the strengths, challenges and gaps among non-profit and human service providers throughout several metro Atlanta communities. Past projects include co-leading a pilot program to better understand and serve Georgia’s independent inventor community, and organizing a series of statewide educational workshops to provide follow-up assistance. In addition, Jason served as a core member of the team serving Troup County, Georgia, leading tasks to help the community’s leadership plan and prepare for future growth and development.
Prior to joining Georgia Tech in 2007, Jason worked at Market Street Services, an economic development consulting firm, where he produced demographic profiles, economic and workforce development analyses, and strategic implementation plans for communities throughout the Southeast. Jason’s prior experience also includes managing 15,000 annual volunteers for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech.
