Innovation: “The introduction of something new”
Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute’s (EI2) mission is to help enterprises improve their competitiveness through the application of science, technology, and innovation. One of the many ways we do this is through exploring new and creative means to support communities and their citizens.
New ideas arise all the time, but how do communities and organizations know that their implementation, including staff hires, training, equipment purchases, and budget adjustments are worth their time and effort? EI² has worked with cities, counties, and state and federal agencies to test new community and economic development initiatives and strategies. Through the development of unique data-gathering tools, analysis, and interaction with subject-matter experts, EI² has implemented a diverse array of programs designed to promote local economic development in communities throughout the state and Southeast.
